Free digital skills places available for 18-24 year olds
Are you an 18-24 year old seeking employment? We have the perfect FREE course for you to help you secure that job. Digital Gum was launched to help young people fast-track their digital careers and land their dream job.
Join us for four weeks part time twice a week to learn some skills, make new friends who are all in the same boat and hear about employment opportunities. You will be working on real-life charity projects to give you the digital & work ready skills to be in demand. Our digital training is in bite sized chunks with lots of practical learning. Combined with the job search skills we will give you the confidence to go for it and find that job. But don’t take you word for it, have a read on our blog page about Matt’s journey.

The course runs twice a week, the total study hours are 16 hours online facilitated learning with a tutor and hands on project homework.
The subjects covered on the course are;
Introduction to social media marketing and how it’s used in business
New apps used by the digital community to win new customers
SEO – why should we care?
Data visualisation tools to make stats look beautiful
Web content management & build your own website tools
Employability Skills:
The magical art of CV writing
How not to mess it up in the first five minutes interview training
Build an online profile to be attractive to prospective employers
Work on real life projects across the four weeks to use your learning in real life applications.
You will document your progress through a diary that will give you a digital footprint to showcase to prospective employers.
The free places are available for those 18-24 year olds who are economically inactive in Berkshire. If you are interested in applying, or if you know someone who might be simply email us or book onto one of our virtual learn more sessions.
The funding for the free places has been awarded by the `Education and Skills Funding Agency and the European Social Fund so that we can offer free places on our Digital Gum skills training.
